Straight thread joints can be divided into: standard type, positive and negative screw fastener type;
A. Standard type of the same diameter — used for free rotation of reinforcement, first screw the sleeve onto one steel bar, then screw the other steel into the sleeve to tighten it.
B. Same-diameter positive and negative screw fastener — used in cases where the reinforcement is completely unable to rotate, two reinforcement bars can be loosened or tightened in a rotating direction by rotating the sleeve.
How do you tell if the thread is positive or negative?
You can hold the threaded sleeve with your right hand. If the spiral Angle of the thread is in the direction of the thumb, it is the normal thread.
If it’s the opposite, it’s the opposite.
